Indoor Fun Review

The second of the review posts I am doing will give you an idea of all the indoor fun we have had over the last two years. Yes, two years is a very long time but I will try my best to sum it up.

We spent a lot of time baking.

We made lots of crafts. See a few ideas here, here, here and here.

We made our own toys from junk. What could be better than a cardboard box!

We had lots of fun with bicarbonate of soda, vinegar and food colouring. Take a look how to set up this activity here.

For more bicarbonate of soda and vinegar activities, check out this post.

We went to the theatre and met Julia Donaldson!

K discovered chalk.

Small world play.

We played with gloop.

And hosed down the tuff tray outside. Very easy way to clean up!

We learnt about the Olympics in the summer of 2016.

We painted.

We had fun with literacy.

Here is another literacy idea. And another.

K discovered pom poms(he did not eat them!)

Have a look at some of the fun we have had with pom poms here and here.

We painted with cars.

We learnt mathematics in a practical way. Here R is measuring how far his cars travelled from the end of the track.

For more numeracy ideas, look here, here and here.

We played dressing up.

We made homemade gifts. Here is another homemade gift idea.

We learnt about dragonflies.

We built things.

We made and played with play dough.

For more play dough ideas, check out this post.

What do you like to do indoors?

  1. Outch! Outch! Outch!
Was reading along when my eyes caught that mean car track... when I see it I can only think of the pain of stepping barefooted on one of these! Our little Aslan likes to keep traps of these little mean pieces all around...
    Ooooooutch! >.<

    1. Hehe I know what you mean. Perhaps one of the worst things they leave on the ground is Lego! That can be very painful. Haha

    2. Yes.

The pain echoes right inside the brain. :-X
